Growing concern about the very toxic Chinese Drywall has become a huge problem for home owners and contractors that have installed it in homes.  The drywall contains toxic contaminants that are then release which cause foul smelling odors.  Along with the foul smell the fumes corrode copper pipes and electrical wires causing them to turn black.  Along with those major problems is the fact that it seems to harbor mold, causing major health problems.

The use of Chinese drywall was fueled by a weakened economy.  Drywall Contractors began looking for ways to keep cost down as a way to under bid their competitors.  The Chinese drywall is cheaper than American made board which is how it worked its way into American homes.  Unfortunately for home owners and contractors the bad drywall must be removed.

A local Professional Drywall Contractor, Brody Kline who owns South Virginia Drywall, says his company has never used the toxic Chinese drywall.  “Using good quality products to complete any job should be a must especially when your name is on the job.  I really feel for those homeowners who had contractors install the Chinese drywall and are faced with that contractor not fixing the problem that they created.  I also am glad to hear about the contractors who are removing and replacing the toxic board.” stated Brody.

Licensed and insured, South Virginia Drywall’s owner has over 13 years experience in drywall contracting and 19 years of drywall experience.
